ANPR OperationsJBW are renowned for their innovative schemes within the industry. One operation they conduct for several authorities in and around London are ANPR police roadside operations. They do these in partnership with the London Metropolitan Police and on occasion other additional agencies are in attendance; these include representatives from the MPS Traffic Division, Public Carriage Office (PCO), HM Immigration Services and Anti-Terrorism Officers.
This scheme has been set up so that JBW can provide local authorities and their resident’s with safer travel both during the day and in the evening. The initiative prevents, detects and disrupts illegal activity associated with motorists - more specifically the licensed passenger trade and illegal touting.
So the public can be informed about what their local authority is doing for them, JBW provide an information officer who is present to educate members of the public about the scheme.
